Exciting New Beginnings PAKURANGA ROTARY AUXILIARY’S FIRST PROJECT - Reminiscent of Pakuraranga Rotary's first major project...….

What a joy it was to see our brand new Auxiliary members answer the call to assist in the development of Anchorage Park School’s “Treemendous Makeover !”

After winning the Project Crimson award for the best environmental makeover, the race was on to get the groundwork done before the grand opening later this month.

Nine members of our Pakuranga Tamaki River Rotary Auxiliary turned up at the school, and operated machinery, moved endless wheelbarrows of soil, laid pathways and enjoyed refreshments provided by those unable to participate in heavy work. The school says “Without the assistance of these dedicated Rotarians, Anchorage Park would have really struggled to achieve the outcome required in time for our official opening with guest Ruud Kleinpaste  on the 28th. Our heartfelt thanks”.

If our host club members would like to assist our new members, the donation or sponsorship of a native tree before planting day would be most appreciated. Also, help is required on Saturday the 28  from 9.30 am to plant the trees then at one pm, enjoy a BBQ and celebration  put on by the Mazda Foundation.
